The component module (1), for fitting to the cladding (2) at the inner side of a vehicle door, has a grip recess (8) with a carrier (3) and an inner door handle (6) and operating crank (10) to move the door window. The crank (10) projects radially, and is fitted with a closed ring section (9) within the recess (8) which shrouds it.
