PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively clean pollutant, even polluted soil high in viscosity without performing post treatment such as pH adjustment for affecting the environment or preventing the effect. SOLUTION: This polluted soil cleaning device 1 consists of a vessel 3 into which polluted soil 2 of high viscosity containing trichloroethylene as pollutant is fed from a feeding hatch 29 and also in which it can be housed in an airtight state; an agitating means for agitating the polluted soil in the vessel 3: a decomposing bacteria feeding means 5 for feeding decomposing bacteria for decomposing trichloroethylene; and an intake device 6 and an exhaust device 7 as intake and exhaust means for performing intake and exhaust to and from the vessel 3.
