PURPOSE: A head motion sensing apparatus and method are provided to easily change an angle of an image screen by discriminating and sensing a motion of a head. CONSTITUTION: The head motion sensing apparatus include a reference pin(10). A CCD camera(30) pickups the reference pin(10). A wide view lens(20) is installed at a front terminal of the CCD camera(30) and widens a pickup angle. A division filter(40) extracts a predetermined part of the reference pin(10). A pin location detector(50) determines a form corresponding to a location and a distance of the reference pin(10) extracted from the division filter(40). A motion angle calculator(60) calculates a motion angel of the reference pin(10) a form of which is determined. A controller(80) outputs a screen angle change signal.
