PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a polyester film for magnetic recording media, suited for manufacturing digital video tapes with less dropouts at a good workability. SOLUTION: A polyester film for magnetic recording media has an SRa of 2-5 nm and an SRz of 10-40 nm on one surface A, no easy-slidable cover layer formed by coating exists on another surface B, and its water drop contact angle is 62-86 deg.. A magnetic recording tape has a ferromagnetic metal film layer formed on the one surface A of the polyester film. |
