PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a range-finding device executing a hybrid type range-finding action that an active range-finding action and a passive range-finding action are executed so as to be hard to be affected by noise without increasing the number of comparators used for deciding the finish of the accumulation of a signal. SOLUTION: The external light quantity decision comparators 17L and 17R used for judging whether a skimming action used at the time of the active range-finding action is executed or not are used for judging whether signal amount required for the range-finding arithmetic operation at the time of the passive range-finding action is accumulated or not. At this time, the skimming actions by skimming action parts 16L and 16R are not executed. Then, when it is judged by the comprators 17L and 17R that the signal amount required for the range-finding arithmetic operation at the time of the passive range- finding action is accumulated, an inverted signal is inputted to a CPU 21 from the comprators 17L and 17R. By the CPU 21, a control signal for finishing the accumulation of the signal is outputted to photodetectors 15L and 15R through a control circuit 22. |
