PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove scale generated in an underground water catchment tank installed in an underground tank simply and surely. SOLUTION: An apparatus in which a fluid ejection nozzle such as a water ejection nozzle 10 is introduced into an underground water catchment tank 2 through a maintenance pipe line 3, and fluid such as water is sprayed to scale 4 from the nozzle 10 to remove the scale 4 is composed of the nozzle 10, a long-sized rod 11 for hanging/supporting the nozzle 10, and a rod holding mechanism 12 for holding the rod 11 on the ground. The nozzle has an oscillation mechanism 13, and the mechanism 12 has a lift mechanism 17 and a rotation mechanism 18. Unit rods 11a of a prescribed length are connected in sequence to be inserted into the pipe line 3. A water supply pipe for supplying water to the nozzle 10 is used as the rod 11. A holding mechanism 21 for holding at least the lower end parts of the rods is provided. A monitoring camera 23 is mounted on the nozzle 10.
