PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety by allowing an engine-stopping switch to be operated by the left hand even if the right hand of an operator is caught by a feed chain. SOLUTION: A threshing device 3, and an engine 6 for driving the threshing device 3 are mounted on a traveling machine body 1. A feed chain 2 is laterally hung along a threshing opening at the rear side of the threshing device 3, and a not-conveying side of the feed chain 2 is covered with a chain cover 13. A stopping switch S capable of carrying out the stopping operation of the engine 6 is arranged on the side surface of the end part at the grain culm-feeding opening 4 side of the chain cover 13. As a result, the objective engine-stopping device of a harvester is constituted.
