PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an auxiliary power part, reduce its weight, lower the center of gravity and reduce machining man-hour and the number of part items by reducing the projection of a cover member for the auxiliary power part, projecting below a pedal shaft. SOLUTION: This power-assisted vehicle 1 with pedals is constituted to input auxiliary power to a pedal shaft 15 and to drive a driving wheel (a real wheel) 12 through the pedal shaft 15. A cover member 18 for covering the pedal shaft 15 and a power transmission member interlockingly connected to the pedal shaft 15 to transmit auxiliary power is composed of two cover member elements 18a, 18b vertically divided in the direction intersecting the direction of the pedal shaft 15. An auxiliary power part 16 and the pedal shaft 15 are longitudinal arranged in the vehicle proceeding direction. The power transmission member includes a planetary gear set. A ring gear of the planetary gear set is supported by the cover member 18, and an output shaft of the planetary gear set is fitted to and supported on the pedal shaft 15.
