摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a floor surface without largely sacrificing the car width space of the floor surface of a cab even in a standing type cab, in a forklift furnished with a driving wheel and an auxiliary wheel making a pair at the left side and right side, at the lower part of a car body. SOLUTION: The rear suspension mechanism 21 of a forklift is of an independent suspension type, and the driving wheel 5 and the caster wheel 6 are supported elastically by an elastic body 30 and a caster spring 39 provided between a frame plate 2a, respectively. The caster spring 39 is provided slipping to the outer side in the car width direction from the axial center of its supporting shaft 38, to the caster wheel 6, and it energizes the caster wheel 6 elastically through a caster link 35. The floor face 24 is provided lower than the upper end of the caster spring 39 by avoiding a housing box 40. Since the slipping direction of the caster spring 39 to the caster wheel 6 is in the car width direction, the length of the caster link 35 is relatively short, and its rigidity is not necessary so high, and as a result, the thin type of the caster link 35 can be realized easily.
