PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ester-based elastomer excellent in mechanical characteristics at high temperature, and having high melt viscosity by melt-mixing a specific copolymer with a specified compound and a specific component, and further melt-mixing the resultant mixture with a specified compound. SOLUTION: (A) A polyester-based copolymer of 100 pts.wt. composed of 5-95 wt.% short chain polyester component of the formula CO-R0-CO-O-R1-O (R0 is a 6-12C divalent aromatic hydrocarbon; R1 is a 2-8C alkylene) and 50-5 wt.% long chain polyester component of the formula CO-R0-CO-O-R2 [R2 is a component composed of a repeating unit of the formula R-O (R is a 2-8C alkylene) and having 500-5,000 number average molecular weight] is melt-mixed with (B) a polyether of 50-500 pts.wt. composed of a unit of the formula R3-O (R3 is a 2-8C alkylene), and (C) an isocyanate component of 10-100 pts.wt. of the formula OCN-R4-NCO (R4 is methylene or the like), and the obtained mixture is further melt-mixed with an amine compound having two or more active hydrogens to provide the objective ester-based elastomer.
