Bragg grating sensor for detecting physical quantity

The sensor includes a Bragg grating (11), and optical interferometer (20) and a phase difference generator (30). One arm (21) of the interferometer is used to guide one power component of the received radiation component, and another arm is used to guide the other power component of this radiation component. Both arms have a precisely equal optical length (nL). The phase difference generator has a phase controller (31) for varying the phase of a power component. The phase controller is arranged asymmetrically w.r.t. the optical length of the interferometer arm.
