PURPOSE: A ticketing system using telecommunication is provided to easily confirm the entering customer's reservation status. CONSTITUTION: A ticketing system using telecommunication is composed of connection, reservation, and confirmation. User connects to the server(8) through the internet, which the user connects through wired or wireless telephone service(4), or wireless communication device(5). User inputs one's ID, desired movie theater, and show time to reserve a ticket, and the customer's reservation data is stored in the database(20). User goes to the movie theater at the reserved time, and slides the user's identification device(12), an ID card, through the card reading device(14). The received ID information is sent to the server(8) and the server compares the ID inputted to the card reading device to the reservation information stored in the database. The database confirms the customer's reservation status and a confirmation message, which identifies the customer as the person who has made the reservation, is sent to the card reading device. The movie theater identifies the data that is displayed on the card reading device's display(16) and confirms the customer as the person who has made the reservation. |
