PRODUCTION OF MOLDED PULP ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of easily producing a hollow molded pulp article having small cross-section of the mouth part. SOLUTION: An expandable hollow core 8 is folded to a prescribed form and inserted into a cavity 4 of a mold 1 containing a formed pulp layer 7. A pressurized fluid is introduced into the inserted core 8 to press the pulp layer 7 against the inner face of the cavity 4 with the expanded core 8.
