<p>The invention concerns a method and system for queueing up for resources in a telecommunication system comprising a local exchange (LE), an access node (AN), a concentrating V5 interface (V5) connecting the access node to the local exchange. In addition, subscribers are connected to the access node via a concentrating interface (RSSI), so its resources may become a problem when calls are to be set up. In an embodiment, the access node is given a command from the local exchange to wait for the release of resources in the concentrating interface in the event of congestion in the latter. This makes it possible to avoid call setup failures if resources are released in the concentrating interface within a relatively short predetermined queueing-up time. This improves the service that subscribers receive from the operator.</p> |
