PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat exchanging capacity while suppressing generation of a wind breaking sound by making elliptical the straight part of heating tubes being inserted in a plurality of rows and stages into a fin group, arranging the straight part of appropriate rows of a heating tube while snaking in the stage direction and snaking the edge of the fin group in the row direction. SOLUTION: A heat exchanging coil for air conditioner comprises a fin group 1 and heating tubes 2 and the straight parts 3, 3,... of the heating tubes 2 are inserted in zigzag into the fin group 1. A large number of plate fins 4, 4,... are juxtaposed in parallel at a constant pitch in the fin group 1. A heating tube 2 having opposite ends coupled with a header is arranged while snaking in the direction of coil row and the straight part 3 of that heating tube 2 is shaped elliptically. Furthermore, the straight part 3, 3,... of appropriate rows of heating tube are arranged while snaking in the stage direction and the edge of the fin group 1 in the row direction is snaked thus lengthening the distance at the edge part such that air touches the edge entirely gradually starting from the round forward end part 5.
