PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device not giving damage to an intermediate transfer body, in the case of detaching the intermediate transfer body from the image forming device main body. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a supporting face 76 capable of supporting the intermediate transfer body unit 40, a sliding/ supporting part 70 capable of sliding between a first state inside the main body and the second state outside the same and the intermediate transfer unit 40 housed in the main body 14 when the sliding/supporting part 70 is in the first state, and the intermediate transfer unit 40 is made attachable and detachable when the sliding/supporting part 70 is in the second state, and moreover, the intermediate transfer body unit 30 is, at the time of the housing state, fixed for positioning with regard to the main body 14 and the sliding/supporting part 70 by main body side fixing means 60r and 62r on the main body side, and supporting part side fixing means 60f and 62f on the slide supporting part side, and further more, fixing force of the main body side fixing means 60r and 62r is respectively made larger than the fixing force of supporting part side fixing means 60f and 62f.
