摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the spindle driving of a spinning machine, capable of preventing the generation of yarn breakage, the damage to a traveler, etc., so that the traveler always slides on a ring flange in a stable posture, even when the spindle is operated at a superhigh speed. SOLUTION: A spindle is driven so that the rotation speed of the spindle is stepwisely increased up to the maximum rotation rate. Plural speed change points P1-P8 are set from the rotation start time of the spindle to the maximum rotation speed time and from the maximum rotation speed time to the stoppage time of a spinning frame. An adjustable speed motor for driving the spindle is controlled so that the speed gradients between the speed change points are decreased, as the rotation speed of the spindle is increased. Thereby, the speed change gradients are decreased, as the rotation speed of the spindle is increased up to a high speed region difficult to stabilize the posture of the traveler therein on the change of the speed, and the traveler always slides on a ring flange in a stable state without causing the steep change of the posture, thus enabling to prevent the generation of yarn breakage, the damage to the traveler, etc.
