发明名称 FRICTION-STIR-WELDING METHOD FOR WORKS MADE OF METAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction-stir-welding method by which works made of metal, whose flow stresses are different each other, can be securely welded with a satisfactory quality. SOLUTION: Friction-stir-welding is performed to both works while forming the peak of a friction-stir force on the work 6 side, whose flow stress is larger than that of the welding boundary 8 of both works 6, 7. At the time of welding the butting part 8 of the works, a rotating probe 3 is arranged while it is embedded by shifting it on the work side whose flow stress is larger to the butting part. In this state, while moving at least either the probe 3 or the work, the work is subjected to the friction-stir-welding. At the time of performing lap welding to the work 6, 7 the probe 3 is allowed to embed from the work side whose flow stress is larger.
