PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a positioning or load-supporting face with a required flatness or shape. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step wherein a base 1 on which a face is formed is provided, a step wherein a molding members 18 and 19 facing to the base 1 and being separated from the base and with main faces 20 and 21 each provided with a required flatness or shape are positioned, a step wherein a curable material is provided in a region between the base and the main faces and is brought into contact with both the base and the main faces, a step wherein the curable material is cured and a step wherein the molding members 18 and 19 are removed and a face with a required flatness or shape is obtd. on the exposed face of the cured material.
