PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing dryer wherein powder and granular materials are prevented from being caught in a seal part provided to maintain the airtightness of a sliding part, and wear and tear due to the powder and granular materials caught in the seal part can be eliminated, and when the pressure in the vessel is restored, powder and granular materials are prevented from being drawn to the vicinity of the sliding part, and to prevent the materials from being caught in the seal part so that heat is not generated near the seal part. SOLUTION: The rotary vessel mixing dryer includes a vessel 1, suction pipe 13 with an end thereof being inserted into the vessel 1, and a sliding part provided between the vessel 1 and the pipe 13 so that the vessel 1 can rotate around the outer periphery of the pipe 13 under conditions that the pipe 13 is fixed. Gas can be blown off from the sliding part through the interior of the pipe 13 toward the vessel 1.
