PURPOSE: An anti-lock brake system for an electric vehicle is provided to prevent the lock of rear wheel by interrupting the braking of rear wheel. CONSTITUTION: An anti-lock brake system for an electric vehicle comprises: and angular sensor (2) to sense an operation angle of a brake pedal (6); a motor generator (4) to be mounted in a rear wheel (20) and to be operated by an ECU, which receives a signal from the angular sensor; a slot hole not to operate brakes (22,24) in the early of braking, but to operate the brakes when the generated power of a motor generator (4) is maximum, and to be formed in the brake pedal; a lock-protection device to interrupt an operation of the motor generator, and to prevent the lock of a rear wheel (20).
