PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighter weight putty composition which decreases a burden of weight during transporting and constructing putty. SOLUTION: A putty composition from an aqueous binder and an extender is obtained by mixing 10-300 pts.wt. of an organic micro balloon with 100 pts.wt. (solid content) of the aqueous binder. The organic micro balloon is preferably an organic lightweight micro balloon having 20-100μm of diameter and 0.1-0.2 g/cm3 of density and/or an organic foamed fine powder having 40-100μm of diameter and 0.02-0.05 g/cm3 of density. An inorganic micro balloon may be mixed in the lightweight putty composition provided that the amount thereof is equal to or less than the amount of the organic micro balloon.
