In a swarf conveyer of the kind having long, rigid, reciprocating tubes 4 for carrying pushers 6, 7, which tubes move the swarf in one direction only, are located in the centre of the conveying trough 1 and are supported on the web 3 of a guide bar 2, in those parts of the conveyer in which upward or downward slopes occur, short pusher units 10 are interconnected by links, and also by slide shoes 11 by means of which they are guided on the web 3. The first and last of the units 10 are each connected to one of the rigid bars 4 in the straight portions of the conveyer. Each unit 10 is supported on a shoe 11, Fig. 5, which is apertured and slotted to receive the cylindrical head 18 of the web 3. Link pins 14 are fitted in holes drilled in the shoe and are embraced by the forked ends 16, 17. Each unit has also a hook similar to the hook 7, Fig. 1. |
