The heat exchanger comprises a metal plate (1) having a series of channels (4) cut into one of the major surfaces (1a). Each channel receives a tube (5) for circulation of heat transfer fluid. The channels, produced from a second metal, are coated with a metallic deposit (10) obtained by the compressed air projection of molten metal or alloy into the channels. This has a composition allowing the fixing of the tubes on to the deposit by brazing or soldering.
