PURPOSE: A method for preparing a diamond-form carbon film is provided to improve the adhesion of the carbon film to an intermediate layer formed between a metal parent material and diamond-form carbon film. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a diamond-form carbon film according to the present invention comprises forming an intermediate layer between a metal parent material and the diamond-form carbon film and is characterized in that the method comprises forming a composition-gradient layer having gradient of composition ranged from the composition of intermediate layer to the composition of diamond-form carbon film between the intermediate layer and diamond-form carbon film.
