PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forging an Al-Mg-Si alloy capable of producing an aluminum forged part having excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance characteristic of aluminum and having excellent strength with less processes. SOLUTION: An Al-Mg-Si alloy material contg., by weight, 0.3 to 0.8% Mg and 0.3 to 1.0% Si or moreover contg. 0.005 to 0.3% Cu, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is heated at >=450 deg.C, in the subsequent cooling stage, it is forged at 450 to 300 deg.C and is cooled to 400 to 300 deg.C at a rate of >=50 deg.C/min, and, after that, age hardening treatment is executed at 100 to 250 deg.C.
