PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transmission of fish bite signals in a fishing rod. SOLUTION: The bottom end of a fishing rod body 1 is inserted into its gripping part 2 having a hollow part, and fixed thereto, then spacers are provided between the gripping part 2 and the rod body 1. A plurality of spacers 7, 8, 9 are arranged in the longitudinal direction and at least two of the spacers are made of materials different from each other.
