PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable steam cleaning household electric machine unnecessary for carrying a large quantity of water and generating stable steam. SOLUTION: A portable steam cleaning electric machine has a body portion 11 and a handle portion opposed to each other and is usually equipped with an arch-shaped housing. A water storage container 17 is attached to the handle portion in a detachable manner and a tube 24 extends to a water storage container to supply water to a flash boiler 13 through a pump 19 and steam is discharged from an outlet 14 during use. The power to an embedded heating element is controlled by a thermostat to prevent the overheating of the boiler 13. Constitutional parts are incorporated in the housing and the housing can be easily carried by a single hand and the outlet 14 can be arranged on the surfaces of cleaning accessories in order to wash or sterilize the surfaces thereof. A defect in preceding technique carrying or utilizing a large quantity of water by high temp. or high pressure steam in order to supply sufficient steam is eliminated.
