PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing performance and durability by providing a seal lip brought into slide contact with a wall surface of a mating member moves relatively, with a magnetic characteristic. SOLUTION: A seal ring 3 is fittedly fixed at a position of an inner circumference of a shaft hole of a housing 3 corresponding to a cylindrical part, and composed of a seal body 32 made of rubber elastic material and a metal ring 31 which are joined. The body 32 has an outer circumferential seal part 32a and an annular seal lip 32b bringing into surface contact with a wall surface of a flange 22 of a slinger 2. Prevention of leakage of sealed fluid is made by the lip 32b while prevention of intrusion of dust is made by a seal ring 4 made of special fiber. By manufacturing the body 32 from the rubber material having a magnetic characteristic, the lip 32b is attracted to the wall surface of the flange 22, and the sealing performance is further added with close contactness by the aid of elastic restoring force of the lip 32b itself. Even if the lip is worn caused by sliding after a lapse of time a stable close contactness is assured with the magnetic attraction. |
