PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent having an excellent inhibitory effect on tyrosinase activity and effective for the prevention and improvement of pigmentation, spot and frackle after sunburn by including an extract of Gnaphalium semiamplexicaule (Gordo Lobo, a plant native to Mexico). SOLUTION: The objective agent contains preferably 0.001-20.0 wt.% (based on the total agent in terms of dried inhibitor) of an extract of Gordo Lobo (a plant native to Mexico and belonging to family Compositae), preferably the leaf, flower or their mixture of Gordo Lobo. The extraction is preferably carried out by extracting the above plant in dried or raw state using 100 pts. of an extraction solvent such as water or an aqueous solvent (e.g. ethanol) based on 5-50 pts. of the plant of dried state. |
