PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of heat generated inside a device and to prevent image defect caused by temperature rise inside the device by making printing speed lower when temperature detected by a temperature detection means is equal to or above specified temperature. SOLUTION: Printing operation is started and the temperature is started to be detected by a temperature sensor 54. Whether or not the temperature T detected by the sensor 54 is equal to or above the specified temperature T1 is decided in the midst of detecting the temperature. For example, 45 deg.C is set as the specified temperature T1. When the detected temperature T is equal to or above the specified temperature T1, whether or not it is equal to or above T2 is decided. For example, 50 deg.C is set as the specified temperature T2. When the temperature detected by the sensor 54 is not equal to or above the specified temperature T2, that is, when the temperature T is between the specified temperature T1 and the specified temperature T2, a CPU 52 controls an optical system 56 and a process driving system 58 so that the printing speed may be low. Thus, the printing speed is made low and the quantity of heat generated inside the device 50 is decreased. |
