PURPOSE: A method for displaying volume control of a television is provided to perform volume control for showing a caption of a caption mode. CONSTITUTION: A method for displaying volume control of a television comprises the steps of: determining whether a volume control key is on-status when a television is turned on; determining whether a caption mode is on-status if the volume control key is on-status; performing volume control and displaying the volume control to OSD if the caption mode is on-status; performing the volume control and displaying the volume control if the caption mode is not on-status; determining whether the television is turned off if the volume control is released on the OSD; and determining whether a main power is turned off if the television is turned off.
