PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device such that developing bias is easily controlled even when an interval between images is shortened because the speed of the device is increased and the diameter of a photoreceptor becomes small with respect to the color image forming device adopting a developer supply interruption means as a developer roller. SOLUTION: This color image forming device that an electrostatic latent image is developed at every one rotation of the photoreceptor 2 by one developing unit 3 is equipped with a first developing bias applying means supplying DC voltage to the developing roller 4, the developer supply interruption means interrupting developer to be carried to a surface opposed to the developing roller when the developing action is not executed, a second developing bias applying means applying developing bias to the developing unit 3B positioned at the downstream side of the developing unit 3C executing the developing action in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor and a developing bias continuing means continuing the developing bias until a developed toner image is passed through the unit 3B.
