PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable image forming by preventing the generation of drum memory without increasing a cost and also without applying overload to transfer sheet. SOLUTION: The surface opposed to the recording material carrying surface of the transfer sheet 5f is charged so as to have the same polarity as the charging polarity of a photoreceptive drum 1 by inside and outside charger/discharger 5d and 5e preceding to the first transfer of a toner image, and then the transfer sheet 5f is charged to make potential nearly zero or to have a polarity reverse to the electrification characteristic of the photoreceptive drum 1 by an attraction brush 5c and an attraction roller 5g. When the thickness of the transfer sheet 5f is denoted as d(m) and dielectric constant asεr, the expression of d/εr<=4.7×10<-5> is satisfied. |
