METHOD FOR PREPARING COMPONENT DATA IN ELECTRONIC COMPONENT PACKAGING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing component data which simplifies an input operation for giving an instruction on the component data to an electronic component packaging apparatus and makes an error hardly caused. SOLUTION: Pattern data obtained by classifying patterns of external appearances of an electronic component and specifying numerical value inputs for portions existing on the patterns are stored beforehand in a pattern data storage part 3 as a pattern data library 6. The pattern data corresponding to the sort of the electronic component are selected by a pattern classification processing part 1 and only input items of the portions for which the numerical value inputs of the selected pattern data are specified are displayed on a display 7 by an image display part 5. Since an operator needs only to conduct the numerical value inputs for the limited items displayed on the display 7, he is made free of perplexity or confusion brought about in the case when unnecessary items are also displayed, and can execute an input operation simply and without causing an error.
