PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYESTER FIBER

PURPOSE: A process for producing a polyester fiber is provided which has excellent strength, modulus, spinnability and dyeing property by using a polyester semi-elongation fiber. CONSTITUTION: A polyester fiber is prepared by the following steps of: copolymerizing a polyester with 100-1000ppm of trimelitic acid, trimecic acid or trimelitic anhydride; and then adding the polyester copolymer to 0.1-10% by weight of nylon type high molecular material based on polyester to melt spin the mixture. When the additive amount of the nylon type high molecular material is less than 0.1% by weight, physical effect of the spinning yarn is deteriorated. When the additive amount of the nylon type high molecular material is higher than 10% by weight, spinning property of the yarn is decreased.
