PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield door unit for radioactive irradiation facilities which improves the efficiency in a space when the door unit is opened and closed and where a drive mechanism for a shield door is simplified. SOLUTION: Doorways 6 and 7 of irradiation rooms 1 and 2 in irradiation facilities are formed so that wall outer faces in the proximity of the doorways 6 and 7 including them can be shaped like concave arcs 3a, 4a and 5a. A circular turn table 10 that has its center on the side of the outside the doorways 6 and 7 and is concentric with the arc faces 3a, 4a and 5a of the wall outer faces mentioned above is located outside the doorways 6 and 7. The turn table 10 is revolved and positioned by erecting a door 16 which has a prescribed thickness and whose outer face is shaped like a convex arc corresponding to the concave arcs of the wall outer face mentioned above on the circumference of the turn table 10. Consequently, the doorways 6 and 7 are opened and closed by the door 16.
