Air plenum chamber for an internal combustion engine

The air distributor consists of a housing (14) between two rows of cylinders and containing a rotary drum (50) made up of a series of rotary cylindrical components (25, 26) with radial ports (27, 28) delivering air to the inlet ducts (15, 16) of the engine cylinders. The cylindrical components are separated by seals (32) in contact with the housing, and the drum is connected to a control mechanism which rotates alternate cylindrical components at the same speed and in opposite directions.
