MECHANISM FOR SUPPRESSING VIBRATION OF REVERSE STITCHING LEVER OF SEWING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for suppressing vibration of a reverse stitching lever of a sewing machine in which vibration transmitted to the lever can be assuredly suppressed and a vibration suppressing effect can be achieved with a simple structure without deteriorating the operability of the lever. SOLUTION: A connecting mechanism 60 for connecting a reverse stitching lever shaft 50 to a reverse stitching lever 55 comprises a rotating and connecting part 61 for rotatably connecting these members 50 and 55 together and lever guides 62 fixed to the reverse stitching lever shaft 50. A pair of buffer rubber members 71 of a reverse stitching lever vibration suppressing mechanism 70 are fixed to a pair of regulating parts 64 of the lever guides 62 located at both sides in the rotating direction of the base end part of the reverse stitching lever shaft 50. When the reverse stitching lever 55 is rotated, the rotating operation is transmitted to the lever shaft 50 through the buffer rubber members 71 and the lever guides 62. Thus, vibration transmitted to the reverse stitching lever 55 through a feed regulation mechanism and the reverse stitching lever shaft 50 from a feed driving mechanism is suppressed by the buffer rubber members 71.
