PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that copes with a high speed image output and adaptation to network processing while complicated configuration of its network interface is prevented. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a plurality of color conversion means 32a-32d that convert a color separation signal obtained from a color into a coloring material signal used for an output of the color image and with a conversion control means 34 controlling the conversion processing of a plurality of the color conversion means 32a-32d. Then the conversion control means 34 allows each of the color conversion means 32a-32d to conduct parallel processing or any of the color conversion means 32a-32d to conduct serial processing selectively for the conversion of the color separate signal into the coloring material signal.
