The invention relates to a method for making a water/ice mixture, wherein the method comprises: feeding an aqueous fluid at a temperature which essentially corresponds to the freezing point of said aqueous fluid from a source through a closed vessel (7) in which a pressure prevails which essentially corresponds to the saturation pressure of the fluid at that freezing point, at least partially allowing the aqueous fluid to evaporate in said closed vessel (7), heat of evaporation being withdrawn from said aqueous fluid, and discharging the aqueous fluid from the closed vessel (7). |
