PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording medium which can suitably prevent the unauthorized copying of digital data and improve the security of a system. SOLUTION: Transistors 112 are respectively connected between a connecting terminal 111 for inputting Vpp and word lines Wi and write protection is applied to a second memory cell array by controlling the continuity of the transistors 112 with the input to a control terminal 113. Since the control terminal 113 is isolatedly disposed in a module in such a way that the terminal 113 is electrically independent from the outside connecting terminal of a data recording medium, the second memory cell array connected to the word lines Wi becomes a read-only area.
