PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce the load to be added to a frictional plate and to prevent its fatigue by mounting an one-way clutch on one member side of a hub and a drum in a frictional engagement means, for controlling the rotation of the member by rising a sprag in a case where the member is rotated in the locking direction. SOLUTION: When a piston 27 is pressed to a left side by the pressure oil, a drive plate 23a and a driven plate 23b are nippedly held and a clutch is brought into a power transmittable state. On this occasion, a number of sprags 29 are mounted between an inner lace 28 and a hub 20a arranged on a concentric circle, and an one-way clutch is formed by these members 28, 20a, 29. The rotation of the hub 20a for directing the inner lace 28 and a toothed part 20a in the rotation breaking direction, that is, the locking direction as the direction for rising the sprags 29, is regulated by the one-way clutch 8. Whereby the application of the excess load to the spline fitting part of the frictional plates 23a, 23b can be reduced. |
