PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the insulation displacement contact of wires by correcting a curl of wire to be made to insulation displacement contact with a terminal of a connector, and confirming the margin of the wire. SOLUTION: At the time of pressing a wire (a) into an insulation displacement contact terminal of a connector C, an end of the wire (a) is pinched by a wire curl correcting chuck 47, and in the condition that the feeding of the wire (a) is stopped, the wire curl correcting chuck 47 is slid for retreat in a tensile direction along the coating surface of the wire (a), and the curl of the wire (a) is thereby corrected and an insulation displacement contact blade S can securely catch the wire (a) and push it down. With the retreat of the wire curl correcting chuck 47, an opening and closing sensor monitors the opening and closing condition so as to detects a degree of the margin of the wire (a) in relation to the insulation displacement contact. In the case where the margin is not enough, a required cope is performed. |
