PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material charging device in a bell-type blast furnace in which the segregation of grain sizes and blending components, etc., of the raw material of ore, coke, etc., charged into the blast furnace, is prevented. SOLUTION: A shut-off plate 34 for changing the flow-down direction of the raw material by shutting off at least a part of layer thickness of the raw material flowing down from a belt-conveyor 13 is arranged between the belt- conveyor 13 for conveying the raw material into a storing hopper 12 arranged at the furnace top part of the blast furnace 11 and the storing hopper 12. The shut-off plate is desirable to be adjustable to the layer thickness direction of the raw material.
