PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a positional deviation in an abutting part between optical fibers due to a peripheral temperature change when a ferrule main body is made of resin material so as to suppress deterioration in optical transmission loss by arranging a metallic pipe integrally with an inside wall of a through hole inserted by an optical fiber. SOLUTION: A through hole 12 formed in a resin ferrule main body 11 is constructed of a small diameter part 13 and a large diameter part 14. Between the small diameter part 13 and the large diameter part 14, a bell-shaped tapered part 15 is arranged on the large diameter part 14 side. With the inside of the tapered part 15, a metallic pipe 16 made of an iron-nickel alloy or an iron- nickel-cobalt alloy is arranged integrally. An optical fiber 18 is inserted into the ferrule main body 11, a core wire 19 is inserted into the large diameter part 14, a strand 20 prepared by peeling an envelope from the core wire 19 is inserted into the small diameter part 13, and the tip of the strand 20 is positioned at the tip of the small diameter part 13. A thermal expansion coefficient of the metallic pipe 16 is smaller than that of the ferrule main body 11.
