PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually judge the limit of wear by providing a wear limit mark of a brake drum at a pointing position of an indicating member or pointer of a brake shoe wear limit indicator under a state that a brake is operated by the use of the brake drum reaching its wear limit and a not-yet-used brake shoe. SOLUTION: Above a brake shoe applicable range indicating mark 23, a brake drum wear limit mark 24 is provided. The mark 24 is formed at a position pointed by an indication member or pointer 21 under the braking condition with the use of a brake drum reaching its wear limit and a not-yet-used brake shoe. After the brake shoe is replaced with new one when it reaches its wear limit, the brake shoe brings a drum brake 4 into a braking condition when the brake shoe is in a non-used state. It is thus possible to judge whether the brake drum has reached its wear limit or not by comparing the pointer 21 with the mark 24 under the braking condition.
