The glass ceramic plate has a knobbly structure on its underside consisting of a regular pattern of knobs (4) with a defined interval (a) between them of about 0.2 mm. The transition between the knobs is rounded and the glass ceramic plate is darkly colored. The knobs can have an optional configuration with an optical distortion effect. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a glass ceramic plate with a knobbly underside structure.
