PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-reliability ink jet recording ink being satisfactory in the properties as an ink jet ink, suffering less from bleeding at a color boundary, and having an excellent hue and improved light resistance and water resistance by using an ink containing lanthanoid ions and a cyclodextrin derivative, and to provide a process for recording with the same. SOLUTION: Provided is a recording ink containing a water-dispersible or -soluble colorant, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent as the principal components and further containing at least a 6C or higher alkyl-containing surfactant, wherein lanthanoid actions and a cyclodextrin derivative and/or a cyclodextrin polymer are contained. |
