POLYMERIZED RESIN-IMPREGNATED WOOD AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance dimensional stability and preservative properties of polymerized resin-impregnated wood. SOLUTION: A silicone-based polymer of the polymerized resin-impregnated wood is impregnated into the woody parts. The cured silicone-based polymer surrounds saccharide in the insides of the woody parts. The silicone-based polymer has an action lowering water content of wood to below 15%. When water content of wood is lowered to below 15%, corrosive bacteria corroding wood are not propagated and dimensional stability and preservative properties, especially preservative properties are enhanced.
